Take time to Reflect, Accept and Move On
So a new year has started. What are your plans? Do you have any? How has 2018 been for you? It was certainly a roller coaster ride for me and I know it was for a lot of people. Do not despair. Allow yourself some time to reflect on the year that you’ve had, accept all that has happened, good or bad, and then feel confident that you can move on and make the most of 2019.
Do not underestimate how important this activity is for you. It will allow you to take stock and actually acknowledge all you’ve experienced with a clear head. Reflect on the emotions you’ve had, why you’ve had them and identify if in future you’d do things differently. Too often you’ll overlook the achievements you’ve made, large or small. Take a moment to really feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. Even though your year may have been one of turmoil or sorrow, don’t let this be how you approach the coming year.
Feel safe forgiving yourself if you’re harbouring sadness, resentments or anger. It’s natural but not healthy to hold on to these emotions. Being able to let go of the negative emotions can be a really powerful way to get your life back on track and enables you to feel optimistic and open to new exciting experiences.
Reiki has been instrumental in supporting me with my self-worth issues and giving me the confidence to live my life for me. I love teaching Reiki and seeing my students let go of unsupportive emotions as they realise why they’ve been doing it and have a safe space to gently let go.
I strongly recommend learning Reiki to support you with letting go of any negativity in your life. I teach my Reiki workshops in small groups to allow for openness and plenty of hands on experience. My next workshop which will be on Sundays 3rd and 10th February.
